Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a range burner, capable of igniting an ignition flame smoothly while excluding affection due to external disturbance, capable of minimizing the size of the ignition flame and capable of preventing effectively the overheating of the lower part of a sub-chamber due to the ignition flame.
CONSTITUTION: A range burner 1 is provided with a sub chamber 4, provided partly in an annular flame port row 11, and provided with a flame port 15 for ignition and a flame-failure-detecting flame port on the rear wall thereof while a communicating port 20 with lower part is formed on the bottom thereof and having an opened window at the outside, an ignition plug 14 and a flame- failure-detecting sensor, established at the lower part of the sub-chamber faced to the communicating port 20, and an electric discharge gap G, formed between the tip end 19 of the ignition plug and an earth electrode 5 provided on the ceiling of the sub-chamber. The earth electrode 5 is formed of a radial projected rail 50 and is provided with a slanted surface, for biasing mixture sent out of the ignition flame port 15 downwardly and provided at the inside of the electrode 5, while the projection 54 for electric discharge is provided near the level of the communicating port 20 at the outside and lower position of the slant surface.
