Abstract:

To provide fluorescent chemical materials comprising reactive dyes and dye conjugates and uses thereof.

There are provided chemically active, water-soluble, heterocycle-substituted 7-hydroxycoumarin dyes, bioconjugates thereof and uses thereof. The conjugates obtained from the reactive heterocycle-substituted 7-hydroxycoumarin dyes are used for analyzing biological compounds by using a flow cytometer equipped with a violet laser as an excitation source due to their strong absorption at 405 nm and a high fluorescence quantum yield, and are particularly useful as fluorescent labels for reagents detecting biopolymers such as antibodies or nucleic acid probes.
