Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a reaping device for a combine harvester so designed as not to damage a cutting edge in conducting a reaping work in an ill-drained paddy field, or in reaping grain culms on the side of levee, thus enabling the cutting edge to be used for a long period.
CONSTITUTION: In a reaping section B equipped with a device 2, in front of a threshing section A, to divide and raise grain culms and a device 3, behind the device 2, to reap grain culms and convey them backward, the reaping section B as a whole is made movable upward, while the device 2 is made movable downward singly. And, after moving the device 2 upward, the device 3 is designed to also move upward in compliance with the movement of the device 2.
