Title:
REAR SUSPENSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2006199243
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a rear suspension embodied in a simplified construction capable of suppressing change in the toe angle or camber angle of the rear right wheel and rear left wheel when the rear wheels have made vertical motions in the same phase.

Rods 50R and 50L are coupled at the right and left of a sliding member 40 installed extending in the transverse direction of a vehicle, and are coupled with wheel carriers 10R and 10L. When the rear right wheel and rear left wheel ascend (or descend) in the same phase with respect to the vehicle body, the sliding member 40 receives a pressing force (or tensile force) to the same degree from the right rod 50R and left rod 50L, so that it 40 does not move in the transverse direction of the vehicle. Accordingly the changes in the toe angle and camber angle of the rear right wheel and rear left wheel are suppressed by the reaction force given to the wheel carriers 10R and 10L from the right rod 50R and left rod 50L.
