The recorder includes a conveying means for conveying a medium to be conveyed disposed between the conveyance roller and the follower rollers, a pressing means for pressing the plurality of follower rollers against the conveyance roller, and a pressure setting means capable of setting pressing or non-pressing of the pressing means with respect to each of the plurality of follower rollers. In a case where a medium to be conveyed having a recording region and a non-recording region is conveyed by the conveying means and recording is performed on the medium to be conveyed by using the recording head, the pressure setting means holds the plurality of follower rollers facing the recording region in a non-pressing state.
