PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording technique with which, even when a recording sheet becomes easy to bend after recording on the first surface of the recording sheet, the recording sheet can be conveyed to the recording area without a conveyance failure after being reversed, and recording can be made on the second surface of the sheet.SOLUTION: The recording apparatus comprises: a sheet feeding unit for feeding a recording sheet from those loaded in a loading unit; a sheet conveyance unit for conveying the recording sheet fed by the sheet feeding unit; a recording unit for recording by discharging ink on the recording sheet conveyed by the sheet conveyance unit; a sheet reversing unit for reversing the front and back surfaces of the recording sheet; and a control unit for, when the back surface (second surface) of the recording sheet is recorded by the recording unit after the front surface (first surface) was recorded, controlling the speed of driving the sheet conveyance unit and sheet reversing unit on the basis of the quantity of ink discharged at recording on the front surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
