Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus that is able to start the feed of a following sheet even when an amount of margin for the trailing end of a preceding sheet and an amount of margin for the leading end of the following sheet are not determined, and to perform a skew correcting operation for the following sheet even during a recording operation in the last line to the preceding sheet.SOLUTION: A recording apparatus comprises: a conveyance roller that conveys a recording sheet fed by a feed roller; a recording section that records on a recording sheet conveyed by the conveyance roller; a conveyance control section that is able to control recording sheet conveyance so as to cause overlap of the trailing end of a preceding recording sheet and the leading end of the following recording sheet fed next; a determination part that determines whether the following sheet should be conveyed to a position opposite the recording part while the preceding sheet and the following sheet are kept overlapping; a space determination part that determines whether a predetermined space has been left between the recording position in a line before the last line to the preceding sheet and the recording position in the last line; and a control part that controls the timing of a skew correcting operation for the following sheet, on the basis of the result of the determination made by the space determination part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
