PURPOSE: To obtain a recording control method of optical recording which can perform an accurate control when using a recording control system for performing recording using a specific test pattern previously and then obtaining control information on recording according to the result where it is reproduced.
CONSTITUTION: When a specific test pattern is recorded in a recording medium, control information when recording information by detecting various kinds of fluctuations of usage environment according to the signal which is obtained by reproducing the recorded data, and a data is recorded on a recording member using these or the recorded data is reproduced, optical recording control is made by changing the width of pulse or laser power on recording data. Then, a test pattern is recorded or reproduced by performing control so that at least one type of amount of deviation selected from the focusing position deviation on a recording medium when recording the test pattern, recording position deviation on a recording medium for performing recording on the above recording medium, and the deviation of laser power to be applied on recording is within a specific range.
