Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique suitable for manufacturing a product other than optical disk as a pattern formation medium formed with a concavo-convex pattern accompanying rotational recording.SOLUTION: A recording layer forming medium (102) which has a recording layer (101) formed thereon records a predetermine pattern in a continuous area including the center of the recording layer by performing a recording operation in which the recording layer is irradiated with a laser beam while the recording layer forming medium is rotated to change the position the irradiation spot with the laser beam on the recording layer in a first direction (x-direction) parallel to a direction on the plane of the recording layer. Since the recording is made in the continuous area including the center of the recording layer, the recording is free from the size of the product, the number of segments.
