Abstract:
PURPOSE: To miniaturize a recording medium loading device and to surely position a disk cartridge at a loading part by operating a moving means to move a holding means in the direction of approaching the loading part when the holding means holding a recording medium is in a 2nd position for loading the recording medium onto the loading part.
CONSTITUTION: A cartridge holder 4 is positioned between a base plate 15 and a top plate, arranging opposite to the loading part constituted on the base plate 15. The holder 4 is supported to be movable parallel to a plane of the base plate 15 over between a position capable of taking out the disk cartridge 220 inserted and held in the holder 4 via an inserting and discharging hole and a 2nd position capable of positioning the cartridge 220 above the loading part and loading and unloading the cartridge 220 onto and from the loading part. A moving guide part 49 constituting a 1st guide means has a length of allowing the movement all along between the 1st position and the 2nd position of the holder 4. The holder 4 is guided to move parallel to the base plate 15 by the guide part 49 in supporting each supporting pin 95.
