Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable to obtain a reproduced signal with high sensitivity and little noise, by a method wherein a recording layer composed of an inorganic material layer and an organic material layer is provided on a substrate, with a silicon monoxide layer provided therebetween.

CONSTITUTION: The recording medium consists of a plastic substrate 1, the silicon monoxide layer (50mm in thickness) 2, a copper phthalocyanine layer (20mm in thickness) 3 and a tellurium layer (30mm in thickness) 4. Tellurium (Te) used as an inorganic material may be replaced by a low melting point material such as Bi, Se and As or other similar material. Copper phthalocyanine used as an organic material may be replaced by fluorescein or the like. The optic disk produced by using said recording medium comprises a pair of recording disks 5, 6 faced to each other through spacers 7, 8, and recording layers 5a, 6a provided on the opposed surface side of the recording disks 5, 6.
