Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording method and recording device which realize an improvement in the number of rewriting times by decreasing jitters of an optical disk.
SOLUTION: When the absolute values of DSV values calculated with respect to different DCC bits are equal, the selection of the DCC bits is randomly performed, and thereby the signals recorded on an optical disk medium are varied every time even if the same user data is recorded. As a result, the deterioration of marks and spaces is made uniform and the number of the rewriting times is improved.
