To provide a recording sheet capable of forming a highly brilliant image without any defects due to gloss deterioration over the whole surface of the image at low cost and to provide a fixing device and an image forming apparatus using the recording sheet.
In the recording sheet passable through a fixing nip part, a nip width (nip region) can be changed through the fixing nip part of the recording sheet upon the approach into the fixing nip and/or the discharge therefrom. The fixing device is provided with a plurality of support rollers containing at least a first support roller and a second support roller, an endless fixing belt which is extendedly suspended and is rotated by a plurality of the support rollers, a pressure roller confronting the first support roller with the fixing belt interposed therebetween the fixing belt and a transparent image forming part which forms a transparent toner image on the fixing belt. Therein, the recording sheet holding a color toner image passes through the fixing nip part formed between the fixing belt and the pressure roller, is conveyed in the tightly contacted state with the fixing belt and is parted from the fixing belt on the second support roller part.
