To give a molded body from a recycled resin showing excellent transparency by adding hydrogen to a molded item of a polymer resin containing an alicyclic structure.
A polymer resin containing an alicyclic structure is preferably a resin having an alicyclic structure in a main chain. The most preferable alicyclic structure is a cycloalkane structure. A hydrogen addition treatment is conducted preferably by making a resin, preferably in a state of a solution of a formed item, contact hydrogen in the presence of a catalyst for hydrogen addition. The catalyst may be a homogeneous catalyst comprising a transition metal compound and a reductive metal compound or an inhomogeneous catalyst having a catalyst metal supported on a carrier. The inhomogeneous catalyst is removed as an in homogeneous component by adding a small amount of an deactivating agent the hydrogen treatment and the homogeneous catalyst is removed by filtration together with fine particle of compounding agents which was included in the formed item.
