Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recycling method of waste steel capable of effectively utilizing the thermal energy which has been discharged outside the system without being used in the melting process and capable of improving the Sn removing ratio in the recycling method of Sn-plated waste steel.
SOLUTION: In a recycling method of waste steel to perform the refining by mechanically peeling the Sn-plated layer from waste steel having the Sn- plated layer while the Sn-plated layer is heated and oxidized, and melting the steel after removing the Sn-plated layer in a steel melting furnace, hot oxidizing exhaust gas to be discharged from a steel melting furnace is brought into contact with the waste steel having the Sn-plated layer to change the Sn-plated layer into its oxides, the oxides are removed from waste steel with the hot oxidizing exhaust gas flow of ≥0.3m/sec in flow speed, and the steel from which the oxide is removed is thrown into the steel melting furnace and melted.
