Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a red phosphor having high luminance and high chromatic purity by irradiating blue color.SOLUTION: There is provided a red phosphor having an eutectic crystal of alkali earth metal sulfide (containing at least one kind of metal selected from magnesium, calcium and barium) and SrGaS(mass concentration calculated by all pattern fitting method from a powder X ray diffraction pattern is in a range of 5 to 60% in the red phosphor) as a base material, which is activated by europium contained at 0.005 to 0.1 mol per mole number 1 mol by summing mole number of the alkali earth metal atom and mole number of strontium atom.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
