Abstract:
To provide methods for treating ANCA associated vasculitis (AAV) comprising administering an antagonist of complement 5a receptor (C5aR) to an individual in need thereof with renal disorder.SOLUTION: Provided herein is a method of treating ANCA-associated vasculitis (AAV) with renal involvement in an individual in need thereof comprising administering a complement component 5a receptor (C5aR) antagonist to the individual if the individual exhibits an elevated ratio of urinary soluble CD163 (sCD163) to creatinine compared to individuals without AAV. In some embodiments, the complement component 5a receptor (C5aR) antagonist is avacopan.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
