To reduce the weight and improve the heat resistance, molding property, mechanical strength and reflecting characteristic by providing a metal film on the surface of a substrate consisting of an alicyclic structure-containing polymer resin.
A substrate constituting the main reflector 10 and extension reflector 4 of te lamp unit 2 of a vehicle lamp 1 is molded of an alicyclic structure-containing polymer resin such as norbornene polymer, monocyclic olefin polymer, cyclic conjugate diene polymer, vinyl alicyclic hydrocarbon polymer and hydrogenated products thereof. A metal film consisting of aluminum is vapor deposited on a lamp 8-side surface to form a reflecting surface. Although the main reflector 10 and extension reflector 4 are generally connected to each other by a screw or the like, a part or the whole body of these reflectors 4, 10 may be integrally molded of the alicyclic structure-containing polymer.
