The apparatus comprises a short cylindrical shaped receiving blade die and an embossing die fitting into it located so that their centers match with the propelling extended line of a rod of an air cylinder loaded on the workbench of the apparatus. In the apparatus, the receiving blade die is fixed on the workbench, the embossing die is attached on the tip of the propelling shaft of the rod of the air cylinder, a propelling shaft is pivoted on a slide bearing, a cutting edge is formed on the circumference of the edge of the embossing die receiving side of the receiving blade die, and the embossing die presses the spherical shaped root vegetable set to lay on the cutting edge into the receiving blade die and pushes and passes it through to form a thick rod shaped root vegetable.
