The refrigerating device comprises hot gas by-pass piping 6 by-passing a condenser 13 and an electronic expansion valve 16 to lead hot gas into an evaporator 17; a capillary tube 8 for reducing the pressure of hot gas flowing through the hot gas by-pass piping 6, below a temperature saturation pressure in a temperature controlled space; and a hot gas solenoid valve 7 for opening/closing the hot gas by-pass piping 6 to make the flow of hot gas intermittent. A purge passage relatively smaller in diameter than refrigerant piping 5 for leading a refrigerant to the condenser 13, is formed with a high-pressure pressure control valve 20 so as to by-pass a condenser inlet solenoid valve 12 installed near the inlet of the refrigerant piping 5.
