To provide a refrigerator capable of providing the preservability suitable for each food and keeping freshness of a storage compartment by solving a problem on withering by promoting air hole transpiration of food and drinks not needing high humidity, and vegetable by light irradiation.
The storage compartment has two or more sections partitioned from each other, and a water supply device 121 capable of spraying liquid is disposed in the first section so that the water supply device 121 forcibly supplies moisture to the inside of food stored in the storage compartment, thus the water content of the food can be improved, and the freshness keeping performance of the storage compartment can be also improved. Further as the spraying operation is performed by an operation switch by a user, it can be selectively performed according to the necessity.
