To provide a refrigerator without impairing luminance of an LED, by preventing melting of a solder part by restraining a high temperature rise in a lighting system, as a compact lighting system, even when using a high intensity LED as an illuminator in a storage chamber.
This refrigerator is composed of the storage chamber 5 formed in a thermal insulation casing, a door 8 openably-closably blocking up a front opening part of this storage chamber, a fan 11 driven when blocking up this door and supplying cold air generated by a cooler 9 in the storage chamber, a duct 13 arranged in a ceiling part of the storage chamber and flowing the cold air, the lighting system 15 in a storage by the LED 20 arranged so as to exchange heat with the cold air flowing in this duct, and a shade 21 covering the indoor side of this lighting system, and is characterized in that the cold air is made to flow in the duct by driving the fan by turning on the lighting system when opening the door.
