Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator enhancing evaporation efficiency of defrosting water to increase the volume of a storage chamber.SOLUTION: A refrigerator includes: a machine chamber 22 provided to the lower part of a refrigerator body; an evaporation plate 30 disposed in the machine chamber and an evaporation fan 41 sending air toward the evaporation plate 30. The evaporation plate 30 is structured so that a depth dimension gets smaller toward the downstream side from the upstream side of the air. According to such a structure, defrosting water in the evaporation plate is forcedly evaporated by the air from the evaporation fan, but the air from the evaporation fan is relatively rapidly flown to the leeward side in the evaporation plate at that time so that an evaporation efficiency is improved. As a result, the evaporation plate, specifically the volume of the machine chamber provided with the plate, can be made generally small, and the volume of the storage chamber in the refrigerator body can be increased for that portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 27
