Abstract:
To provide a refrigerator capable of maintaining a heating heat quantity required to defrost even if outside air temperatures are different throughout the year, when utilizing the waste heat of the refrigerator for defrosting.SOLUTION: A refrigerator for utilizing the waste heat of a compressor for defrosting includes a vaporizer, heating means for heating the vaporizer to defrost, and heating control means for controlling a heating amount by the heating means according to outside air temperatures. Thus, the heating amount by the heating means can be controlled according to the outside air temperatures to make up for a heat quantity change in the condensation latent heat of cooling medium, therefore achieving a shorter defrosting time and energy saving regardless of a change of the outside air temperatures and the frosting state of the vaporizer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
