Title:
REFRIGERATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3470728
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a refrigerator in which starting performance is improved by cooling, for example, refrigerant of an expansion valve inlet of the refrigerator by a simple method only at the time of starting.
CONSTITUTION: A cooler 10 has a tube 9, fins 11, a moisture absorber 12 and an air permeable member 13. The fins 11 formed of discs made of a material such as, for example, aluminum, copper are so inserted into the tube 9 as to be parallel to each other, and brazed to the tube 9. The absorber 12 and the fins 11 are enclosed fixedly from its outside by the cylindrical member 13 while so charging the absorber 12 that the surfaces of the fins 12 are brought into contact with the outer periphery of the tube 9 to the vicinity of the outer peripheral edges of the fins 11. Since a vapor compression type refrigerator derives latent heat from the surfaces of the tube 9 and the fins 11 by a cooler 10 added between a liquid reservoir and an expansion valve to be heat exchanged, heat radiation of high-temperature refrigerant is expedited at the time of starting, thereby improving refrigerating performance or a coefficient of performance.
