Abstract:

To provide a method for simply and effectively regenerating a catalyst poisoned by the accumulation of sulfur oxide and a sulfate in the catalyst.

In this regeneration method for the denitration catalyst used in exhaust gas, in which sulfur oxide coexists, of a waste refuse incinerator, or the like, at a relatively low temperature of 150-300°C to catalytically reduce nitrogen oxide using an ammonia reducing agent, the denitration catalyst is washed with an aqueous solution containing ammonia radicals, vanadium and/or tungsten. By this washing, the sulfur oxide and the sulfate mainly accumulated in the catalyst are eluted and removed before the washed catalyst is baked.
