Abstract:
PURPOSE: To correct registration errors of two-dimensional images.
CONSTITUTION: A linearity and registration controller 78 calculates an error compensation value to be provided to each register. These values are sent to a phase resolution controller 66 by updating each register in accordance with an error being corrected. The error compensation values are transmitted from the linearity and registration controller 78 through lines 200, 302, 304 and 306 to registers 102, 104, 114 and 116 respectively. When a value of each register changes, an address signal to a FIFO and a fraction value sent to a resampling interpolation circuit change as well. Correction image data can be rendered to compensate for the registration error by using these changes.
