PURPOSE: To provide a registration management method for a tool file which is designed to simplify production of the tool files through input of a kind of the tool and the diameter and the material of the tool and perform free registration of up to hundreds.

CONSTITUTION: After manual input at 1 of a kind of and the diameter of a tool and a material of the tool, retrieval of an empty tool number and retrieval of an empty tool file position are effected through the tool file control functions 2 and 3 of a computer and automatic registration at 4 of a tool file is also executed, and thereafter decision of the tool is inputted at 5 according to the tool file.
