To provide a relay having excellent shutting property and of which connection pressure of the main contact can be increased independently of the force of its electromagnetic apparatus.
A main movable body 46 is supported in a supporting plate 49 in a freely rotatable manner so as to hold a main movable point 45 on the opposite to a main fixed contact 53 installed in a free end of a main fixed contact spring 46 installed in a terminal main body 44 and one end of a tensile spring 58 for inverse tensile load is engaged. The other end of the tensile spring 58 is engaged in the supporting plate 49 to apply the inverse tensile load to the main movable body 46. Both of an arc movable contact 52 and an arc fixed contact 51 are made of a material such as tungsten having high resistance to melting and deposition. Moreover, both of the main movable contact 45 and the main fixed contact 53 are made of a material having a low contact resistance.
