To provide a releasing agent evaluating apparatus capable of readily repeating an evaluation test on the releasing agent, thereby capable of evaluating the releasability when casting is repeated by an actual casting machine, with excellent reproducibility.
A releasing agent evaluating apparatus 1 forms a casting by applying a releasing agent to the inner surface 13a of a cylindrical body 13 and the upper surface 7a of a fixed die 7, and then, pouring a molten metal inside the cylindrical body 13 and cooling the molten metal. The releasing agent evaluating apparatus 1 includes: air cylinders 8, 8 for separating movable dies 6, 6 from a casting by separating the movable dies 6, 6 constituting the cylindrical body 13 from each other after forming the casting; a columnar body moving unit 21 for separating the casting from the upper surface 7a of the fixed die 7 by pressing the casting upward after separating the movable dies 6, 6 from the casting; and a load cell 24 for measuring resistance force against the pressure when separating the casting from the upper surface 7a of the fixed die 7.
