CONSTITUTION: When a reception switch SW is turned on for the purpose of starting remote control photographing, an infrared light emitting element 5 starts pulse light emission. since an infrared-ray cut filter 25 is arranged on the front of a photodetector 8 of a receiver 6, the infrared pulse light is made incident on only a photodetector 7. The signal light made incident on the photodetector 7 is converted photoelectrically and is inputted to an RS-FF 19 through an operational amplifier 11 and a waveform shaping circuit 17, and the output of a terminal the inverse of Q of the FF 19 is inverted to the low level. Then, signals (a) and (b) are outputted from a binary counter 23 to the camera side. If a strobe light is emitted near the camera, the strobe light is made incident on the photodetector 7, and its infrared rays are made incident on the photodetector 8. Since the output of the photodetector 8 is outputted to a reset input terminal R of the FF 19, the output of the FF 19 is not inverted to the low level.
