To provide a safe and powerful remover for coating and a detaching method.

A remover for coating is composed of dimethyl sulfoxide having temperature of 30-189°C. A method for detaching coating performs detaching by heating dimethyl sulfoxide. An apparatus for detaching coating is constituted of a tank, a heat source and a thermometer in which the temperature of dimethyl sulfoxide is elevated by the heat source and the coating in the tank is detached by dependence of detaching power on temperature. An ultrasonic apparatus for detaching the coating is constituted of a tank and an ultrasonic irradiation device in which the solvent temperature is elevated by irradiation of dimethyl sulfoxide with the ultrasonic wave and the coating in the tank is detached by dependence of detaching power on temperature.
