To provide a remover which is a mixed liquid of low toxicity materials without containing a high toxicity solvent such as toluene and can remove, from the rolls of a gravure printing machine, sensitized films in the plate making step or coated film failures having pinholes generated due to the adhesion of stains in buffing before coating a black lacquer, the adhesion of the fats and oils content or the like, the ink after printing a proof, after printing or the like without causing an environmental pollution.

The remover comprises cyclohexane and the like, ketones, and alcohols at a specified ratio. The ketones are polar solvents which dissolve a polar group-containing substance, and cycohexane and the like are nonpolar solvents which effectively dissolve a nonpolar group-containing substance.
