To provide a reproducing device and a reproducing method which improve convenience in content reproduction.
The reproducing device 20 is provided with a communicating condition detecting unit 21 for detecting the communicating condition of a network N, a determining unit 24 for determining the content data of receiving object, a receiving unit 26 for receiving the determined content data through the network N, a content memory unit 27 for storing the received content data and a reproducing unit 29 for reproducing the stored content data.
