Storage means stores a plurality of pieces of resume information for performing resume reproduction of contents therein. Selecting means outputs a video signal for selecting desired resume information from the plurality of pieces of resume information recently stored or from the plurality of pieces of resume information with respect to a plurality of contents and causes a user to select the desired resume information with respect to the video signal. Reproducing means performs the resume reproduction of contents of the resume information by using the resume information selected by the selecting means.
