This invention relates to the rescue ship 10 having a hull for defining a slender reservoir 12 having the length of at least 150 m, desirably, at least 250 m and a width of at least 30 m, desirably, at least 45 m. The ship has a ballast device capable of changing draft of the ship by at least 15 m, desirably, by at least 20 m. The hull is composed of two lateral hulls 14 capable of adjusting ballast and surrounding the reservoir 12, and the stern has a substantially sealed door 18 capable of closing a rear part of the reservoir 12. It also has a maneuvering means for adding propulsion in one direction of forming a right angle to at least the longitudinal directional axis of the ship.
