To synthesize a fluorine-containing urethane (meth)acrylate compound through a process comprising reaction of a triisocyanate compound with a fluorine-containing alcohol compound, and to develop a resin composition able to cure quickly with radiation of actinic energy rays such as ultraviolet rays to cause a hardened product having flexibility without losing mechanical strength, low in refractive index, excellent in transparency and applicable mainly to a clad layer of an optical fiber for optical communication by using the compound.
The fluorine-containing urethane (meth)acrylate compound is synthesized by reacting a triisocyanate compound with a fluorine-containing (meth)acrylate compound having hydroxy group in the structure and a fluorine- containing monool compound. The resin composition contains the obtained fluorine-containing urethane (meth)acrylate compound, a fluorine-containing mono functional (meth)acrylate compound and a photoinitiator.
