To provide a resin composition for artificial marble production which gives a highly impact-resistant artificial marble molding without the necessity for compounding a large amount of glass fibers and without using a reinforcing plate or a reinforcing layer.

The resin composition is prepared by compounding a thermosetting resin with additives such as a filler, a patterning material, an internal mold release agent, a curing agent, etc., and is poured into a casting mold to be molded and hardened, giving an artificial marble molding. The resin composition further contains a rubber-like modified resin.
