Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition capable of exhibiting excellent fretting resistance and slide characteristics and capable of providing slide bearings by compounding a polyimide resin, a solid lubricant and a surface pressure-reducing agent. SOLUTION: This resin composition comprises (A) a polyimide resin (preferably a thermoplastic polyimide resin) as a main component, (B) a solid lubricant (e.g. polytetrafluoroethylene or graphite) and (C) a surface pressure-reducing agent (preferably a spherical filler having an average particle diameter of 1-30 μm, such as spherical carbon or a spherical aromatic polyester resin). In the composition, the components A, B and C are preferably compounded in amounts of 40-75 wt.%, 20-45 wt.% and 5-20 wt.%, respectively. The composition as a raw material can be pelletized and subsequently molded into slide bearings. A belt tension-controlling device using the slide bearing exhibits sliding characteristics and durability even under a surface pressure of >=5 Mpa at 120 deg.C.
