Abstract:
To provide a resin composition for a friction material which enables manufacture of a friction material having small temperature dependency of friction force.SOLUTION: A resin composition for a friction material contains a component A: a phenol resin, and a component B: either or both of a thermoplastic resin and its crosslinked body. When a cured product of the resin composition for the friction material is subjected to dynamic viscoelasticity measurement under conditions of a measurement mode: housingless, a measurement temperature: -50 to 300°C, a temperature rising rate of 3°C/min, a frequency of 10 Hz, and a measurement atmosphere: nitrogen, a loss tangent at 23°C is represented by tanδ23°C, and a loss tangent at 200°C is represented by δ200°C, tanδ23°C is 0.05 or more, and tanδ200°C/tanδ23°C is 0.7-1.3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
