Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition which gives a lighting cover which retains transparency, heat resistance and mechanical properties characteristic of a polycarbonate resin and not suffering from yellowing, pitting by hydrolysis, etc., even when used for a long time.
SOLUTION: This composition comprises 100 pts.wt. polycarbonate resin (A) and 20-90 pts.wt. another thermoplastic resin (B), said resin B satisfying all of the following requirements: (1) the difference between the refractive index of resin B and that of resin A is 0.03 or below, (2) the ratio of the melt visocity of resin B to that of resin A satisfies the following relationships: Vb/Va≤0.6 (wherein Va is the melt viscosity of resin A, and Va is that of resin B), and (3) the difference between the solubility parameter of resin B and that of resin A is 0.2-1.0.
