To provide a resin composition which has good solution stability, excellent spray workability at a high concentration, and excellent adhesion to a polyolefin resin molded article, and which gives a coating with excellent weatherability through using a curing agent capable of reacting with an active hydrogen and/or a hydroxyl group present in the molecule of the resin composition, and which is suitable for use as a paint or a primer.
A resin composition is obtained by reacting (A) a polyolefin and (B) a (co)polymer derived from (C) a copolymerizable monomer comprising a monomer having an α,β-monoethylenically unsaturated group and another copolymerizable monomer in an organic solvent in a weight ratio of (A)/(B) of 1/9 to 9/1 while generating radicals. Alternatively, the copolymerizable monomer (C), comprising a monomer having an α,β-monoethylenically unsaturated group and another copolymerizable monomer is polymerized in the presence of the polyolefin (A) in an organic solvent in a weight ratio of (A)/(C) of 1/9 to 9/1 and then further reacted while radicals are generated, to obtain the resin composition.
