Abstract:

To stably manufacture pellet by suppressing abnormal vibration of a cutter shaft in a resin granulator.

The resin granulator 1 includes: a cutter knife 4 for shearing a molten resin material M extruded from a die 3; the cutter shaft 5 provided with the cutter knife 4 on the tip side; and a drive housing 8 supporting the cutter shaft 5 rotatably. The cutter shaft 5 is formed in such a deformed sectional shape that the cross section of the cutter shaft 5 along a perpendicular direction to an axis is in rotational symmetry around the axis of the cutter shaft 5 and that rigidity in deforming the cutter shaft 5 in the perpendicular direction to the axis differs from each other between the vertically deforming case and the horizontally deforming case.
