Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a resin having remarkably improved degree of crosslinking conversion and ultra-high heat-resistance and suitable especially as a fuselage, etc., of aircraft by heating and curing a specific polybutadiene at a specific temperature in the presence of a specific initiator. CONSTITUTION:(A) 100 pts.wt. of a polybutadiene (including a copolymer and a polymer modified with acid, peroxide, etc.) containing >=40mol% (preferably >=50mol%) of a vinyl-type double bond based on the monomer unit is made to react with (B) 0.005-10 pts.wt. (preferably 0.05-4 pts.wt.) of a compound of formula (R<1>, R<2>, R<7> and R<8> are H, 1-3C alkyl, nitro or halogen; R<3>-R<6> are 1-3C alkyl) (preferably 2,3-dimethyl-2,3-diphenylbutane) at 240-320 deg.C (preferably 250-310 deg.C) in the absence of solvent to obtain the objective resin containing >=70% (preferably >=80%) of the above double bond in crosslinked state.
