To provide a novel resin which is excellent in the balance among moldability, productivity, and an appearance, stiffness, surface hardness, and heat resistance of the molded propuct and is best suited to the applications such as food package containers because of a less odor; and a sheet made thereof.
This resin is a copolymer which comprises 30 mass% or higher but lower than 50 mass% styrene monomer units, 30 mass% or higher but not higher than 50 mass% (meth)acrylic ester monomer units, and higher than 0 mass% but not higher than 20 mass% other copolymerizable monomer units and in which the sum of contents of unreacted monomers is 2,000 ppm or lower; the sum of contents of styrene dimer and trimer is 1,000 ppm or lower; and the sulfur content derived from a sulfur-containing chain transfer agent is 70 ppm or lower.
