Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent a short-circuit even under a hard operating condition of automobile and certainly hold the insulating property of a slit.

CONSTITUTION: A honeycomb heater 24 has electrodes 21 on a honeycomb structure and a slit 22 between the electrodes. The outside surface 20 of the honeycomb structure and the slit 22 is enameled. A heater unit is manufactured by setting the honeycomb heater 24 in a can body 30, and the surface 32 of a ring 31 possible to make contact with the heater 24 is also enameled.
