To provide a resistance-welded steel plate which can secure joining strength at the joint though it is a high tensile strength steel plate whose material strength exceeds a 980 MPa class.
In the resistance-welded steel plate obtained by resistance-welding of steel plates in which base material strength exceeds 980 MPa, the melted and solidified part and heat-affected zone in the joint have a structure composed of tempered martensite or tempered bainite as the main phase. Hardness of the melted and solidified part in the joint subjected to the resistance welding lies in the range of +Hv50 to +150 from the hardness of the base material. The base material has a composition comprising, by weight, 0.15 to 0.38% C, 0.10 to 0.50% Mn and 0.5 to 43.0% Cr, and the balance iron with inevitable impurities, and further comprising 0.01 to 2.0% Mo. The base material satisfies equations (1) and (2); wherein, Mn+Cr=0.15 to 54.0 (unit: weight%) ... equation (1), and Mn/(Mn+Cr)0.50 (unit: weight%) ... equation (2).
