Title:
RESTRAINED COOLER FOR SHAPE STEEL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01205033
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent camber of hot rolled shape steel by restraining the plural points of the front and rear end parts of the shape steel by table rollers and the axial direction thereof by restraining rollers and cooling the high-temp. part within the section by cooling nozzles.

CONSTITUTION: At least the 3 points (more preferably 5 points) of the front and rear end parts of the shape steel 1 (for example, V-shaped sheet piles 12) are restrained by the table rollers 5 and the axial direction thereof is restrained by the restraining rollers 6. The cooling nozzles 7 are provided to a front end restraining device 2 and a rear end restraining device 3. Water is supplied from a cooling header 4 to the cooling nozzles 7 to cool the shape steel 1 restrained by the table rollers 5 and the restraining rollers 6 in such a manner. The table rollers 5 are revolved forward and backward to oscillate the shape steel at this time. The shape steel 1 are thereby uniformly cooled and the camber of the shape steel 1 occurring in the nonuniformity of the temp. in the section is straightened.
