Abstract:
PURPOSE: To avoid accident where a worker falls from a roof under construction and that a tool or the like falls onto a worker below the roof by providing a non-metallic reticular member expanded and supported over an entire purlin.
CONSTITUTION: For example, when a precipice roof is constructed, a frame 10 is erected by a plurality of sets of vertical structural members 12. Then, top ends of the vertical structural members 12 are connected by horizontal structural beams 14. A plurality of purlins 16, extending perpendicularly to the horizontal structural beams 14 and arranged in parallel with each other, are supported by the horizontal structural beams 14. A waterproofing uppermost layer is laid to a side of the roofs 1 and a non-metallic reticular member 22 is stretched over an entire purlin 16 below the lowermost layer. A looseness of 6 in. is provided with respect to the purlin 16 by bending the reticular member 22. For safety purposes, a material that can bear fall from a height of 3 feet and a weight of 500 lb. is used for the reticular member.
