Abstract:
To provide a reverse input brake mechanism which can shorten an axial dimension, and can suppress the number of part items, and an electric brake device.SOLUTION: A reverse input brake mechanism 1 comprises: an input member 2; an output member 3 which is arranged coaxially with the input member 2; a pressed member 4 having a pressed face 10; and an engagement piece 5. The engagement piece 5 moves to a direction in which the engagement piece separates from the pressed face 10 on the basis of engagement with the input member 2 when rotation torque is inputted to the input member 2, and transmits the rotation torque to the output member 3, and when the rotation torque is reversely inputted to the output member 3, the engagement piece moves to a direction in which the engagement piece approximates the pressed face 10 on the basis of engagement with the output member 3, and brakes the rotation of the output member 3. A magnitude of brake torque T' acting on the engagement piece 5, and braking the rotation of the output member 3 is set smaller than a magnitude of the rotation torque T which is transmitted to the engagement piece 5 from the output member 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
